Home Who we are

One truck in 2009. Six now.

Tomás started with a Wyckoff route and a trailer. Seventeen years later there are fourteen people on the payroll, and almost every one of those first clients is still on the schedule.

The short version

We grew slowly, on purpose.

Landscaping is an easy business to start and a hard one to keep. Anyone can buy a mower and print a flyer in March. The difficult part is still being on the same street in year nine with the same two people on the truck. Nothing else makes a property better over time.

We have turned down more work than we have taken. For the first six years we would not touch hardscape at all, because we did not have anyone who could build a base properly and we were not going to learn on a client’s patio. Marcus came in 2012, spent two seasons on maintenance, then went and got ICPI certified. That is when we started selling patios.

What we are honest about

Nothing is deer-proof in Bergen County. A lawn under a mature oak is not going to be a good lawn. A patio built in November looks identical to one built in June and costs the same, and if you wait until April to call about one, you are getting it in August. We would rather say all that on the first visit than write it into an email in year two.

If a job is wrong for us we will tell you, and we will usually tell you who to call instead.
Who you will deal with

Four names worth knowing. One of them picks up the phone.

There is no call center and no sales team.
